How to Apply

Much of this information applies specifically to those aged 16-18 who have applied for a full-time course or T Level. There are different procedures in place for adults and those who have applied for an apprenticeship and you will be kept informed throughout.

Step 1- Application

Apply for your chosen course on our website.

Once you’ve applied for a course, download the My Oldham College app to track your application, arrange your interview/ Welcome Events and find out all about College life! Use the QR codes or simply search for ‘My Oldham College’ in your app store.

Step 2- Confirmation and Offers

You will receive automatic confirmation that your application has been received by text, email and post. Once you have downloaded the app, any further updates to your application will also send an alert.

Offers of a place on our courses are always conditional and are dependent on a number of factors, which will be explained throughout the application process. If you are doing your GCSEs, it’s important to work hard and try to get the best results you can.

Step 3- Visit the College

You will be invited to a Welcome Event where you will have 1-2-1 guidance during an interview, enjoy a taster session, meet your future tutors and see our facilities. Attendance is mandatory and will form part of your offer to join us.

Our Open Days also run throughout the year and are an opportunity for you to discuss our courses, learn about apprenticeships and take a look around.

Step 4- Enrolment

If you have an offer in place, you will be invited to one of our enrolment sessions. Those doing GCSEs will be invited in from GCSE results day onwards, after you have collected your results. Enrolment dates will be published here and you will also receive a personal invitation to attend. You will sign your Learning Agreement and pick up your college pass.
