Some of this information applies specifically to those aged 16-18 who have applied for a full-time course or T Level. There are different procedures in place for adults and those who have applied for an apprenticeship and you will be kept informed throughout.
You will receive automatic confirmation that your application has been received and that a place at the College will be confirmed by text, email and post.
Offers of a place on our courses are always conditional and are dependent on a number of factors, which will be explained throughout the application process.
Once you have applied it is important that you have a 121 guidance with a tutor or attend an assessment (determined by the course you have selected) and your place is dependent on this. This guidance is an essential part of ensuring our learners are on the right course for them.
You will be invited to a Welcome Event where you will enjoy a taster session, meet your future tutors and see our facilities. Attendance is mandatory and will form part of your offer to join us.
Our Open Days run throughout the year and are also an opportunity for you to discuss our courses, learn about apprenticeships and take a look around.
If you have an offer in place, you will be invited to one of our enrolment sessions. Here you will discuss fees and funding (if applicable), sign your Learning Agreement, pick up your college pass and collect your course timetable. Enrolment dates will be published here and you will also receive a personal invitation to attend.
You will have a thorough induction designed to introduce you to all the elements of college life. Your future begins here.
Welcome to Oldham College!
