Thank you to all who attended our first Employer Open Evening!
On Wednesday 24th November, we invited local employers to our Business Centre to learn more about how Oldham College can help them to succeed in the new economy.
They heard from Alun Francis, Principal and CEO, about our ambitions to become an outstanding FE college delivering great skills and economic opportunities.
He explained the transformation in our facilities + curriculum to meet new economic needs, and that we aim to work with even more than the 800+ firms we already work with.
Skills will be key to progress for people and economy of Oldham.
Dee Aylett-Smith from WorldSkills UK explained the benefits of their Centre of Excellence preparing our learners for the workplace: taking talents to the next level and being able to compete on a national and international basis.
Visitors met tutors from facilities and University Campus Oldham and enjoyed tours of our fantastic facilities – including the new £9m Construction Centre, Hair, Beauty & Travel, Digital & Creative, and Health & Life Sciences Centres.
