We recently hosted the first stop on the Centre for Digital Innovation (CDI) Roadshow in our Digital & Creative Centre.
Employers across Oldham and beyond joined us for an event focused on embracing innovative technology in the workplace.
After introductions from Coral Grainger, GMColleges Innovation Project Director and Simon Jordan, Principal, attendees heard from three employers – HTL Tech, PrintCity at MMU and Ultimate Products – who have embraced ‘new tech’ such as 3D printing, artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality.
A panel discussion followed, centred around creating a culture of innovation in Oldham.
Coral said: “How brilliant it was to launch our series of innovation roadshows in Oldham!
“The team at Oldham College were excellent welcoming hosts for businesses and the event provided real, practical and affordable takeaways of how everyone can use new tech, like AI, to drive productivity and improve performance in a way that includes and supports existing staff, rather than replacing them.
“There was a great buzz in the room from high-quality networking, and we are looking forward to the next event.”
