We currently offer the P&D course at Level 2, this course is accredited by City & Guilds
The Units covered are as follows
Intro into Health, Safety & Welfare in Construction
Principles of Building
Preparing Surfaces for Decoration
Applying Paint systems by brush & roller
Applying standard papers to wall & ceilings
Producing specialist finishes for decorative work
Erect and dismantle access equipment
Creating and applying colour
The Level 2 P&D course is assessed via multiple choice questions to underpin the knowledge element of the course. There are 8 units in total, 2 of which are assessed by online multiple choice questions (H&S and Principles of Building) the other 6 are assessed by paper based multiple choice questions (these are specific to P&D)
The practical element of the course is assessed by Practical assessments which are timed and graded (Pass Merit Distinction)
The qualification is accredited by city & Guilds

OR
Vocational Level 2 plus Grade 4-9 GCSE English or Maths (Functional Skills Level 2 English or Maths will be accepted).
*A Vocational Level 2 is required for the following courses:

5 GCSEs at Grade 4-9 including English and Maths (Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths will be accepted).
* Health T Levels require GCSE Grade 4 in Science.

If you are aged between 16 and 18 when you start your course and are taking a course leading to a qualification, the tuition and exam fees are free. However, there may be some additional costs for optional trips, recommended text books and professional start up kits. We have a bursary scheme to assist with these costs.
