Delivery Method:

This course will be delivered face to face  with classes fortnightly. Classes will typically last 3 hours each week. Additionally there will be time required to conduct reading and independent writing of assignments.

One to one support shall also be provided by the class tutor.

Course Aims

This course provides an opportunity for learners who are ready to develop their skills and move into the education and assessing sector. This course provides a  pathway for progression to move onto the L4 Internal Quality Assurance qualification providing a comprehensive level of knowledge and skills within the Education Sector.

What will I study?

A comprehensive qualification for assessing in both work and non-work environments.

Vocational learning can take place in a variety of environments, depending on the needs of the learner and the employer. It’s therefore important to be able to assess vocational achievement where it is carried out as required.

The Highfield Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (RQF) has been developed by Highfield’s very own vocational learning experts for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in a workshop, classroom or other training environments.

The qualification will support a role in the workplace, and will provide a broad understanding of the subject, making it ideal for anyone working in an assessment role.

Understanding the principles and practices of assessment Assess occupational competence in the work environment Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

How will I be assessed?

These qualifications are assessed by a portfolio of evidence, which will cover all assessment criteria contained within the units stipulated in the rules of combination for each qualification. These portfolios must be internally assessed and quality assured by the Centre.

In order to complete this qualification, learners are required to:

Be a minimum of 19 years of age There are no other prerequisites for these qualifications. Although it is advised that learners already hold a level 2 qualification.
