The T Level Technical Qualification in Building Services Engineering for Construction provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of the Building Services Engineering (BSE) industry. The curriculum covers key topics such as Health and Safety, Construction Science Principles, Sustainability in the Construction Industry, and Building Services Engineering Systems.
Developed in collaboration with employers, T Levels are two-year courses designed to meet the industry's needs and prepare students for the workforce. Equivalent to three A-levels, these qualifications offer students the option to specialise in a standalone occupational path or a combination of specialisms, including Electrotechnical Engineering or a combination of Plumbing and Heating Engineering.
This qualification is focused on developing the practical skills and knowledge necessary for a career in BSE, preparing learners for either direct employment or an apprenticeship in the industry. Additionally, completing the T Level offers the opportunity to progress to higher education or further training within the sector.
Year 1 Core Assessments
Core Exam: These exams will be made up of different question types covering the core topics that include short answer questions, structured questions, and extended response questions.
Employer Set Project: Each project will be developed together with employers in the industry to reflect realistic types of developments, activities and challenges. The project is made up of a number of tasks which all relate to the same employer-set project brief and tender specification.
