Nine learners represented Oldham College at the Greater Manchester Colleges Student Question Time on 28th November.  

This annual event, hosted by GMColleges, brings together all nine colleges in Greater Manchester for thoughtful discussion around issues affecting young people today.  

Our group of learners, who are from Finance & Professional and Digital & Creative, represented Oldham College in debates, panels and discussions over issues including misinformation, AI and climate change.  

Connor, Level 3 Hardware and Networking learner and our Student Governor, participated in the debate section of the event, while Laith, T Level Legal Services, took part in the panel. Connor said: 

“Getting to be on a debate panel with students from across Greater Manchester was an enriching experience. It helped me see different perspectives on issues in the world today. I felt proud to represent not only myself but the College too.”
