Intermediate Apprenticeship Hair Professionals - Barbering/Barber
On the Hair Professionals Barbering Apprenticeship, you will gain consultation techniques and the skills and knowledge to run a column of clients. As a Barber, you will carry out the following services:
Entry requirements: English and maths GCSE grades 3-9 or A-D, or you must be working towards Functional Skills Level 1.
What will I achieve?
You will attend College 1 day per week and spend a minimum of 30 hours in the workplace. Your College day will consist of:
Compulsory kit and uniform cost: TBC
Assessment takes place within College, in the workplace and at an End Point Assessment (EPA) centre.
Apprentices are continuously assessed throughout the course, which includes:
Your final EPA result is graded at Pass, Merit or Distinction.
Progression for a Barber: Assessor Awards, Preparation for Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS).
On completion of this apprenticeship, you can progress into employment in a high street barber shop, or become a salon owner or freelance barber.
