CDI Roadshow promotes cyber safety

The Centre for Digital Innovation (CDI) Roadshow came to Oldham College earlier this month for the penultimate event in its second series.

The CDI Roadshow is one of the UK Government’s flagship Innovation Accelerator initiatives funded by Innovate UK. It brings together FE colleges, universities and industry partners across Greater Manchester to help businesses across the region unlock growth through innovation.

On 4th December, we hosted Cyber Safety in Early Years and Care – Digital Resilience.

Following an introduction from Rachel James, attendees heard from keynote speakers Manchester Metropolitan University, Salford Business School and the North West Cyber Resilience Centre. The group then took part in workshops, including a Lego workshop with Lancaster University and a tour of the Imaginarium.

Rikki Paylor, Director for Early Years and Care, said:

“It was fantastic to welcome colleagues from the Health and Early Years sector to the College, as well as our learners and staff.

“There were some strong discussions around the cyber space and how we must work collectively to provide a workforce that is equipped to support organisations in an ever-growing cyber world.”

Thank you to all staff who helped to make this event a success. Learn more about the CDI Roadshow
