
Butterflies Nursery, our on-site childcare provision, has received a positive Ofsted report following a recent inspection.Ā
The inspection, which took place in November 2025, follows the new Ofsted framework. A 5-point scale grades effectiveness in six areas, with safeguarding evaluated on a āmet/not metā basis.
Butterflies has achieved a Strong Standard grade in three areas: Achievement, Inclusion and Leadership and Governance. A Strong Standard means that leaders are working above the standard expected of them.
Behaviour, Attitude and Establishing Routines, Childrenās Welfare and Wellbeing and Curriculum and Teaching were graded as Expected Standard. Safeguarding standards are met, meaning there is an āopen and positiveā safeguarding culture at Butterflies.
Regarding Achievement, the report says that all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), āmake impressive progressā with us. As for Inclusion, the report notes that āChildren’s individual needs are treated with the utmost importance.ā Leaders are described as demonstrating āan unwavering commitment to the children and families who access this setting.ā
The report also states that: āChildren thrive at this setting. They are curious, confident learners who readily explore their environment. Babies feel secure and safe, reassured by their warm, trusting relationships with the familiar staff in their room.ā
