At University Campus Oldham, you’ll study in smaller classes, so your tutors will get to know you and you’ll get to know them too. Whether you’re coming straight from college or returning to education after a break, you’ll have the support you need to succeed.

What courses can I study?
We offer a wide range of university-level courses across subjects including Construction, Counselling and Psychology, Creative Arts and Design, Criminology, Education, Children and Young People, Health and Care Professions, and Teacher Education.
Whether you’re looking for a Foundation Degree, Honours Degree, HNC, HND or HTQ, you’ll find a range of full-time and part-time study options.
Many of our courses can be studied part-time, making it easier to balance university- level study with work, family or other commitments.

How do I apply?
Applying is easy. Depending on the course you’re interested in, you can apply either directly through the course page on our website or through UCAS.
If you’re applying directly, select Apply Now on your chosen course page. You’ll be asked to sign in or create an account before completing your application.
If you’re applying through UCAS, search for your chosen University Campus Oldham course and follow the application steps.

I'm returning to higher education after a break. Can I still apply?
Yes.
Many of our students return to education after spending time in work, raising a family or changing careers. Whatever your journey has been, we’ll support you from your first enquiry through to graduation.
If you’d like to talk through your options before you apply, email the Admissions Team.
What financial support is available?
There are several ways to help pay for your studies. If you’re eligible, you may be able to apply for student finance to help with your tuition fees and living costs.
Depending on your circumstances, you could also be eligible for additional support, including bursaries, grants and other funding.

What support will I get while I'm studying?
At University Campus Oldham, we’re here to support you throughout your studies.
Whether you need help with your academic work, wellbeing, disability support or planning your next steps after graduation, you’ll have access to a range of services to support you throughout your studies.
From one-to-one support and study skills workshops to careers guidance, the Wellbeing Hub and our Library and Resource Centre, you’ll have the support you need to make the most of your higher education experience.
Can I visit before I apply?
Yes. Visiting us is one of the best ways to find out if University Campus Oldham is right for you.
At one of our Open Events, you can explore the campus, meet tutors, speak to current students and ask any questions you have.
If you can’t make an Open Event, email the Admissions Team and we’ll be happy to help.
What happens if I don't get the grades I was expecting?
If you don’t get the grades you were expecting, don’t give up. We’d still encourage you to get in touch.
Depending on the course you’re interested in, there may be other options available. Some of our courses have flexible entry routes, and if you’re applying through UCAS, you may also be able to apply through Clearing.
Many of our university-level courses also accept direct applications right up until the course starts, provided places are still available.

What happens after I graduate?
Our support doesn’t stop when you finish your course.
As a UCO graduate, you’ll continue to have access to careers guidance, one-to-one appointments, CV and interview advice, career planning and employability support for up to three years after you graduate.
You can also join the UCO Alumni Community to stay connected with fellow graduates, receive alumni news and event updates and hear about networking opportunities.
