Upskill your Workforce

Employers are vitally important to everything we do at Oldham College and we are always looking for ways to support your company or organisation.

As a vocational college, we make every effort to understand the local, regional and national economy to ensure we are developing and educating young people for the careers of the future - in the industries that matter to you.

Workforce Development

Do your staff need top-up training to handle the demands of business growth or a changing business market? Are you struggling to recruit people with the skills your business needs to meet objectives and could a better skilled workforce help with productivity, competitiveness and ultimately, your bottom line?

Oldham College and our higher education provision University Campus Oldham (UCO) are here to help organisations who would like to upskill their existing teams.

Oldham College offers a number of professional and regulatory courses for Adults and UCO offers part-time qualifications that support your existing workforce, including short HN Flex modules for those looking for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Employer Partnerships

We offer a range of innovative services to businesses looking to revitalise business practice, ranging from recruitment to training to operations. We outsource our team of sector experienced professionals to partner with your organisation and deliver cost-effective, long-term improvements. We have developed our services by listening to what businesses want- focusing on vocational skills, training and recruitment. Combining our £47 million investment in our campus facilities and services with labour market intelligence enables us to make a real difference.

Our holistic assessments of your workforce enable us to identify areas where investment can deliver optimal results. Partner organisations frequently take advantage of our vast and high-quality apprenticeship provision, securing long-term solutions to problems such as an ageing workforce, high turnover, digital skills deficits and more.

We are up-to-date with the latest national and regional changes in vocational education and understand the implications this can have on both our students as applicants, and businesses as recruiters. Technical competence, academic rigour and an excellent command of English and Maths are at the forefront of our training programmes. This makes our students well-rounded and work-ready, highly capable individuals, and highly sought-after candidates.
