Butterflies Nursery is a quality childcare service catering for each individual child’s needs, in a safe, stimulating environment.

Through the planned curriculum provided by our qualified team, we encourage your child to grow and develop whilst giving you the security and peace of mind that they are safe and happy.

Butterflies Nursery

Butterflies is registered with Ofsted to offer childcare places for children aged between 6 months and 5 years old.

 

The activities offered at Butterflies Nursery are built on the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, which will make a positive contribution to children’s early development and learning. The range of activities includes free play, sand, water, creative, music, stories and time spent in our large, well-equipped outdoor play area.

The Butterflies Nursery building is part of the Oldham College/University Campus Oldham Rochdale Road campus and situated next to the main building.

We are open 8.00am-5.30pm Monday-Thursday and 8.00am-5.00pm on a Friday.

Our sessions run as follows:

Morning 8.00am-1.00pm

Afternoon 1.00pm-5.30pm

From August 2026 our fees are £60 for a full day or £40 for a morning OR afternoon session.

Learners at Oldham College and University Campus Oldham may apply for Bursary funding to help with childcare costs, please see the Bursary Support page for more information.

Oldham College and University Campus Oldham staff should enquire about employee rates directly.

While the government funding covers the cost of delivering high-quality early education, it does not cover meals (mid-morning snack/ lunch/ afternoon snack).

Parents may choose to contribute towards any additional costs, but these charges are entirely optional and are not a condition of accessing a funded
place.
