For the second year in a row, Oldham College has been named one of the 2022 UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Women, ranking 40th in the Large Size category.

The Great Workplaces™ for Women rankings are reached by analysing what women themselves have anonymously reported to Great Place to Work: considering their experiences in the workplace, and how well represented they are in the workforce and in management.

To be in the running for making the list, employers must have a minimum of 25% women in senior positions and a confidence level of 80% for data from their female workforce.

Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place to Work®, said in the 2022 Women at Work report: “Ensuring people aren’t discriminated against, placing positive value on our differences, creating fair access and advancement for all, and fostering a sense of value and empowerment in employees is what being a Great Place to Work® is all about.

“This year we’ve seen some of our Best Workplaces™ homing in on particular focus areas including equality, representation, fairness and casting the spotlight on menopause support and promotion of shared parental leave. It’s wonderful to celebrate so many Best Workplaces™ for Women this year, across all sectors and organisational sizes.”

As part of Oldham College’s status as a Certified 2022 UK Company, we were also named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ 2022 in the Large Size category (ranking 49th), and one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing 2022 in the Large Size category (ranking 41st).
