How Will I Be Assessed?

You will be assessed through a combination of practical workshop assessments, written assignments, short tests and knowledge-based assessments.

During practical assessments, you will complete realistic maintenance and repair tasks while your tutor assesses your technical skills, safe working practices, tool selection and accuracy.

Lessons will include hands-on workshop sessions, tutor demonstrations, presentations, group activities, fault-finding exercises and classroom-based theory, helping you develop both practical skills and technical knowledge.
