Course Details
What Will I Study?
Discover how great design grabs attention. You’ll be introduced to Adobe Creative Suite, typography, layout and colour, and start designing to real briefs, from logos to posters.
You’ll build a portfolio that showcases your ideas and helps prepare you for progression to Level 3 Graphic Design.
How Will I Be Assessed?
Each project will produce a portfolio of evidence that tutors formally assess at points throughout the course.
Feedback is recorded on the College’s digital assessment platform, and one-to-one tutorials will track your progress and set targets.
Your final grade comes from your Final Major Project, where you’ll design and create a graphics product of your own choosing. This is externally moderated and exhibited for peers and tutors.
What Could This Course Lead To?
Successful completion of this course could allow you to progress to Level 3 Graphic Design.
In the longer term, you could work towards careers such as:
- Graphic designer
- Illustrator
- Web designer
- Motion designer
- Creative director
