Course Details
What Will I Study?
This Level 2 academic course is designed for 16–18-year-olds who want to elevate their English and Maths skills and achieve aspirational GCSE qualifications. Completing this programme can support progression into employment, apprenticeships, or higher-level education.
To join the course, you should already have, or be predicted, a Grade 3 GCSE, Level 1 Functional Skills, or an international equivalent in both English and Maths. Admission is also based on a successful assessment completed during interview. Alongside GCSE English and GCSE Maths, you will develop academic writing skills, gain work experience, and build employability, personal, and professional development skills. What I Will Study GCSE English Language You will study Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. Key skills include:

How Will I Be Assessed?
All GCSE qualifications are externally set examinations. However, you will also be assessed throughout the year to monitor your progress through half-termly milestone assessments.
What could this course lead to?
For learners aged 16–18, this course is designed to empower you to progress onto higher-level study, including Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications, in particular T level, A level and those seeking an academic route . It also opens pathways into Apprenticeships and provides a strong foundation for entering the world of work with confidence and ambition.
