Digital Infrastructure Level 3

Ever wondered what keeps the internet running, the cloud online and hackers out? On this T Level, you'll find out and learn to do it yourself. You'll build and configure real networks and servers in our Cisco Academy lab, get hands-on with cloud systems and cyber security, and learn the core digital skills every tech employer wants: data, security, digital business, testing and planning.

Then you'll put it all into practice on a 45-day placement with a real employer. Our learners have worked with companies like Autotrader, Inclusive Bytes and the NHS.

Designed with industry giants Fujitsu, Accenture and Lloyds Banking Group, it's your fast track into tech.

You’ll be assessed through two externally set examination papers and an employer-set project as part of the core component.

For the occupational specialism, you’ll complete an externally set practical project.

You must also successfully complete an industry placement of at least 45 days.

You could progress into roles such as:

• Network engineer
• Infrastructure engineer
• Cyber security engineer
• Data centre administrator
• Systems administrator
• IT support technician

You could also progress to a digital apprenticeship or university. The T Level carries UCAS points equivalent to three A Levels, with popular degree choices including Computer Science, Cyber Security and Computer Forensics.

Demand is strong. The UK cyber security workforce grew by 5% to around 143,000 people in 2024, and almost half of UK businesses still report a gap in basic cyber skills (DSIT, 2025).

Greater Manchester has the largest digital and creative cluster outside London, with over 10,000 digital and creative businesses and the UK’s largest AI cluster, so there are real opportunities on your doorstep.
