The Early Years, Classroom Assistant and Education and Training courses at Oldham College prepare students well for an exciting array of jobs. Our courses prepare learners with the knowledge and skills needed to work in the education sector from Primary through to Further Education.

Our sector-experienced tutors are adept in coaching development and regularly inspire our students to pursue careers in their field. Our Early Years & Education teachers have in-depth knowledge of the challenges facing the industry which enables the College to produce work-ready candidates, capable of shaping the education sector of the future.

Our facilities

Our campus offers outstanding facilities designed to support learning, develop practical skills and enhance the student experience. Students benefit from specialist centres for Construction, Health and Life Sciences, and Brickwork, featuring industry-standard workshops, practical teaching spaces and modern classrooms.

 

Our specialist simulation suites replicate real clinical environments, including a hospital ward, nursery and gym, giving students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in realistic settings. Learning is further enhanced by our Imaginarium, a fully immersive 360° environment that brings teaching to life through innovative digital technology.

 

University Campus Oldham provides flexible teaching spaces, specialist facilities and modern technology to support higher education students in a contemporary learning environment.

 

Outside the classroom, students can relax and socialise in our four dining outlets, including Hive Café and Viewpoint Café, where panoramic views of the Manchester skyline create an inspiring place to study or unwind.
