Creative Arts, Design and Media

Games Design Level 2

Course Details

What Will I Study?

Start building your own game worlds. You’ll create concept art for characters, environments and assets, learn perspective drawing, try stop-motion animation and video editing, and get your first taste of 2D and 3D environment design using Adobe and 3D software.

You’ll finish the course with a personal project that you’ll present, as well as a portfolio to support your progression to Level 3.

How Will I Be Assessed?

You’ll be assessed continuously throughout each project. For every project, you’ll keep a sketchbook of research and experiments that leads to a final piece, which is assessed through a presentation and exhibition.

Feedback is recorded on the College’s digital assessment platform, and one-to-one tutorials will review your progress and set targets.

Your final grade comes from your Final Major Project, an exhibition piece of your own choosing, which is assessed by tutors and peers and externally moderated.
