What Will I Study?

This T Level is designed for students who want to develop the knowledge and practical skills needed for a career in the legal services sector.

Equivalent in size to three A Levels, the course combines classroom-based technical learning with an industry placement and has been designed with employers to prepare you for skilled employment, higher apprenticeships and further study.

The Business, Finance and Employment pathway will help you develop the legal knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours needed to work in areas including business, commercial, civil, employment, finance and insolvency-related legal services.

How Will I Be Assessed?

You will be assessed through three main components, including two core examinations, an employer-set project and an occupational specialism.

The two core examination papers assess the knowledge and understanding developed throughout the course. Core Paper 1 covers areas including the business environment, legal careers, professional services, financial accounting, technology, research and project/change management.

You will also complete an employer-set project, giving you the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills to a realistic work-related task.

The occupational specialism will develop and assess the practical skills needed for employment in this area of legal services.

What Could This Course Lead To?

After completing this course, you could enter the legal services sector and develop experience in a legal workplace.

You could also progress to a relevant higher or professional apprenticeship, or continue to further study at university or through a higher technical qualification.
