What will I Study?
This course provides progression opportunities for Level 2 workers in readiness for senior care roles and provides a higher level of knowledge and skills within the adult care.
Over the duration of this course you will develop the values, knowledge and skills required for working in or progressing to a senior or lead adult care worker role. You will learn about a wide range of topics including:
supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care
daily living needs
health and social care procedures.
You will also learn about the adult care worker's role in supporting team members, promoting person-centred care, duty of care, equality, diversity and inclusion, health and safety and safeguarding and protection.
How Will I Be Assessed?
Entry Requirements
You must have prior knowledge and experience of working in care. You should be able to engage in senior care duties. You should have a minimum of Level 2/GCSE grade 4 English. You must be employed in a care setting for a minimum of 20 hours per week for the duration of the course. You must be employed or have an employer willing to support your placement for a minimum of 20 hours per week for the duration of the course.
This course is for adults working in an adult care role who are looking to progress to a senior role or who are in a senior role, but do not yet have the Level 3 diploma.
