Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s Settings (September start)

Are you ready to take the first step towards a career in care or childcare? This supportive adult course introduces you to the essentials of working in health, social care, and children’s and young people’s settings. You will explore key topics such as safeguarding, person-centred care, communication and mental health, helping you develop the knowledge and confidence to progress onto Level 2 study, apprenticeships or entry-level roles in this rewarding sector. No prior experience needed - just your passion for helping others.

Learners will study a range of essential topics that give a broad introduction to working in health, social care and early years settings. The course content includes:

• Safeguarding and protection of children and adults

• Health and safety in care settings

• Introduction to mental health.

Open to adult learners aged 19+ with an interest in developing their understanding of health, social care, or childcare. No previous qualifications or experience required - just enthusiasm and a commitment to learning.
