What will I Study?

This course has been designed to provide adult learners with a Level 3 bridging course to help them transition to university.

You will study introductory units in Management, Business and Marketing as well as academic research skills.

Other units include:

Business Strategy
Managing Change in Business
Workforce Planning in Business
Marketing Strategy
Advertising Legislation in Regulations.

The college will support your university application, including researching universities, courses and funding applications.

How Will I Be Assessed?

Assessment will be through coursework: some graded, some ungraded. Graded work will be awarded a Pass, Merit or Distinction. Your final grade will be provided upon completion of all modules. Upon successful completion of the course you will be awarded an Ascentis Access to Higher Education Diploma in Business.

Entry Requirements

Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grades A-C/4-9 (including Maths and English); Functional Skills Level 2 will be accepted as an alternative to GCSEs. Although preferable, no previous work experience within the business sector is required.

This course is designed to enable mature learners to access higher education. You will be helped with UCAS applications, study and the research skills that are needed for you to be successful in your chosen university course.

Delivery Method

Typically 3 days a week of face to face delivery. Days to be confirmed. Additionally, there is a requirement for each learner to undertake significant independent study to ensure they succeed. Typical independent study requirements are 1 hour per hour of face-to-face delivery.
