Course Details
What will I Study?
Whilst on this course, you will study;
Setting out techniques for specific tasks
Jointing and measuring skills
Estimating materials accurately
Safe and effective use of hand tools
Health and safety practices aligned with industry standards
Working with timbers and board materials
Exploring different types of carpentry and joinery
Safe operation of power tools and equipment
Application of skirting, architraves, and other finishing techniques

How Will I Be Assessed?
Your practical tasks will be assessed in line with current marking criteria from City and Guilds. You will need to complete a practical manual covering each of the practical tasks given.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements, just an enthusiasm to learn basic carpentry and joinery techniques.
