What could this course lead to?

The Travel & Tourism industry comprises many different industries and sub-industries, including accommodations, transport, travel agent, currency exchange, tour operators and tourist boards. The sector also includes visitor attractions such as museums, theme parks, zoos and heritage sites. Associated with hotels and core business operations are conferences and events, which provide considerable year-round employment opportunities.

You will have the opportunity to take part in a week's work experience within an industry-based environment. Here you will develop transferable skills such as communication and teamworking, understand how organisations work and bring a job you have read about to life, building confidence in interacting with adults.

Progression routes include higher level courses, apprenticeships or industry employment, in areas including cabin crew, travel agent, hotel management and cruise ship jobs.
