Oldham College

Student Life

Student Voice

Student Voice is all about making sure every learner has the opportunity to be heard. Whether you're sharing feedback, becoming a Student Representative or taking part in student forums, your opinions help shape the future of Oldham College.

Student Voice

All students have a voice through the Student Representative Forum. Each course has a Student Representative who can put forward any concerns or ideas they have.

As part of Student Voice, you will:

  • Inspire yourself and your peers to take charge of your own education
  • Make a real difference in how the College runs
  • Develop life skills which can be applied in the workplace
  • Understand being a part of the wider Oldham community
  • Have your voice heard.

Student Representatives will benefit from training as well as many other opportunities. Previous students have met the Leader of Oldham Council, Oldham’s Mayor and Youth Mayor and visited the Houses of Parliament in London to meet local MPs.

Becoming a Student Representative helps to:

  • Develop confidence
  • Build self-esteem
  • Improve communication skills
  • Enhance CV’s
