Esports learners recently visited Seoul, South Korea to embark on an incredible educational experience.
Our Esports courses – and opportunities such as this – are delivered in partnership with City in the Community, Manchester City’s charity.
Learners undertook six days of work experience with Gen G, an Esports organisation based in Seoul, and took the chance to explore South Korea’s capital city.
In their time with Gen G learners attended lectures and classes with team members, learning more about the behind-the-scenes of the industry.
Not only did the trip provide a valuable insight into the Korean Esports industry, but into the culture and history of South Korea.
Discussing their time in Seoul, one participant Kenzie said:
“I enjoyed so much of it [the trip]. I most enjoyed learning about Esports in depth and more of the business side of things rather than just the gaming aspect, because esports is a lot less game focused than you realised.”
Learner Rio said: “We were shown what kind of jobs we can get through esports and it’s [the trip] really helped me decide what I want to do with my career.”
