Our fantastic learners were the stars of the show at our annual Student Awards ceremonies!
Across two nights, we presented more than 100 Oldham College and University Campus Oldham learners with awards.Â
Accolades included the Resilience Award, Outstanding Contribution and Outstanding Contribution in the Workplace.
The celebrations didn’t stop there: we acknowledged those making a difference with our Personal Development awards, and applauded learners who have boosted their confidence and skills by completing the Toe to Toe reading programme.
At both events, the show began with a bang! Performing Arts learners took to the stage to perform Cirque Noir, a dynamic commercial dance piece inspired by the world of the circus.
In his welcome speech, Simon Jordan, Principal, highlighted how our award winners have demonstrated excellence in their studies, and contributed to the life and spirit of Oldham College and UCO. He said:
“This evening is a powerful reminder of what is possible when determination meets opportunity. Many of you receiving awards tonight have overcome real challenges to arrive at this moment. Your resilience has inspired us all. You’ve shown that success is not just about talent, but about showing up on the hard days and pushing forward when it would be easier to stop.”
Between the awards, audiences were also treated to ‘SEND is the Word’, a recorded performance by our fantastic SEND learners.Â
Congratulations to all our award winners for 2025 – we are so proud of your achievements and the dedication you have shown this year!
