Enrolment

Enrolment is a very important part of your journey with us – it's where you officially become an Oldham College or University Campus Oldham student!

Below you can find out how you enrol with us for 2026 entry, whether you are leaving school, joining an adult course or starting your next chapter in higher education.

How to Enrol

Ready to join Oldham College this September? You can now come along to one of our drop-in enrolment sessions for school leavers/those aged 16-18 you don’t need an appointment.

Our drop-in enrolment times are:

  • Friday 21st August: 10am- 4pm
  • Saturday 22nd August: 10am-1pm
  • Monday 24th August: 9am-5pm
  • Tuesday 25th August-Friday 28th August: 10am-4pm
  • Tuesday 2nd September-Wednesday 30th September: 10am-12pm (Monday – Friday only)

Please note we now have limited availability on some of our courses including;

  • Level 1 courses in Construction
  • Level 1 and 2 courses in Hair and Beauty
  • Level 2 courses in Education and Early Years
  • Level 3 courses in Health and Care Professions including Midwifery T Level

What to Bring to Enrolment

Please make sure you have the following documents and information with you when you come to enrol:

  • It’s essential that you bring along all your GCSE results documents, so we can view your UMS score.
  • Please note that we cannot accept non-UK qualifications. You will need a statement of comparability from ENIC
  • Your National Insurance number if you have it.
  • Proof of your residency, if you have not lived in the UK or EU for the 3 years prior to September 2026. If you are an EU/EEA citizen, you must bring proof of your settled status.

What happens at enrolment? 

Please visit Alderson Street at the rear of campus (postcode OL9 6DS) where you will be directed to the correct enrolment location.  

On arrival, you’ll be directed to Stage 1 of enrolment, where you will give your personal details, previous qualifications and confirm the course you are enrolling onto.  

At Stage 2, you will sign your Learning Agreement, have your photo taken and complete the enrolment process. Once enrolled, you’ll leave with your student ID badge!

Drop-in enrolment is now open, dates and times are as follows:

  • Saturday 22nd August: 10am-1pm
  • Monday 24th August: 9am-5pm
  • Tuesday 25th August-Friday 28th August: 10am-4pm
  • Tuesday 1st September: 10am-6pm
  • Wednesday 2nd September-Wednesday 30th September: 10am-12pm  (Monday – Friday only)

Important: There is no drop-in enrolment for the following courses: GCSE sciences, English, maths, essential digital skills, ESOL, community interpreting, plumbing or electrical.

You will need to apply for these courses online and you will be invited in for an assessment when places are available.

What to bring to enrolment

Copies of your qualifications and certificates. Please note that we cannot accept non-UK qualifications. You will need a statement of comparability from ENIC.

  • Photo ID.
  • Your National Insurance number.
  • Proof of your residency, if you have not lived in the UK or EU for the 3 years prior to September 2026. If you are an EU/EEA citizen, you must bring proof of your settled status.
  • Evidence of any benefits currently received and/or 3 months of your most recent payslips.

What happens at enrolment?

 At Stage 2, you will sign your Learning Agreement, have your photo taken and complete the enrolment process. Once enrolled, you’ll leave with your student ID badge! Here you will also discuss your funding options and arrange payment of any fees.

New Students

If you are starting a new course with us in September 2026, your enrolment will take place in person during the week commencing 7th September 2026.

Full details about your enrolment, including the date, time and location of your appointment, will be sent to you over the summer. Please keep an eye on your email for further information.

Returning Students

If you are returning to continue your studies, a member of the Admissions Team will contact you over the summer to confirm your intention to return.

Enrolment for returning students will be completed online. Instructions and enrolment details will be sent to your registered email address before the start of term.

What to Bring to Enrolment
Please ensure you have the following documents available at enrolment:
  • Valid photographic identification.
  • Original certificates or evidence of qualifications and results.
  • Your Student Finance England (SFE) entitlement letter confirming your Tuition Fee Loan award, or evidence of an alternative method of payment for your tuition fees.
