Shauna Dixon

Shaua Dixon has made significant contributions to local health and education services in Oldham. Shauna’s first post in the NHS was as a cadet nurse at Ashton Under Lyne General Hospital in 1966. This was the start of a career which saw her rising up through the ranks and afterworking in St Helens and Knowsley in Merseyside, Shauna first came to the borough of Oldham in 2003 where she held a number of senior posts and was responsible for reshaping local clinical provision. In 2010 she had been appointed Chief Executive of NHS Oldham where she would oversee an annual budget in excess of £400 million pounds and lead a team of around 250 staff., and in March the following year, Shauna was awarded an MBE in recognition of a healthcare career spanning more than 45 years’ service.
