New cash incentives have been announced which mean there has simply NEVER been a better time to take on an apprentice with Oldham College.

The latest Budget sees cash incentives raised to £3,000 for employers who take on any new apprentice – whatever their age.

This is in addition to the £1,000 grant employers can also get for taking on an apprentice aged 16-18, or under 25 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Previously, firms got £2,000 for a new apprentice aged 16-24, and £1,500 for those over 25.

It all means that you could receive up to £4,000 for taking on an apprentice with us – as well as gaining fresh insight, a talent pipeline and new skills for your business.

Oldham College’s apprentices’ results rank second across Greater Manchester and our Employer Satisfaction is rated at 93 per cent.

We currently have around 150 young people itching to start apprenticeships with local firms across a range of sectors – including construction, health and social care, IT, digital, management and more.

The employer’s incentive scheme – which was due to end on March 31 – has also been extended for a further six months to run from April 1 to September 30, 2021.

Then contact us for a ‘no-strings’ conversation where we can outline all the benefits to you and tell you about the fantastic talent pool we have available right now. Please call Linda Stokes, Oldham College’s Employer Engagement and Recruitment Manager on 0161 785 5450 or email
