WELCOME to the first-ever edition of Work Ready.
This is Oldham College’s new e-newsletter to all our valued business and employer contacts.
It’s no coincidence that we’re launching this initiative on the first day of National Apprenticeship Week (February 3-7) #NAW2020.
This week we’re holding a series of events celebrating the success of our apprentices, and our partnerships with local employers like you.
This includes taster sessions, a spa day, competitions and events that you can attend – and you can find out more here.
We’re closing #NAW2020 with a fantastic Apprenticeships Awards ceremony when Angela Rayner MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Education, will be revealing our 2020 winners in Speakers’ Corner here at Oldham College. There is also a networking lunch opportunity beforehand. To attend, please contact Saul Gilder on 0161 785 5484, or email email@example.com.
Oldham College’s offer to you extends way beyond apprenticeships, of course.
We know that, by working together, we can form a very powerful partnership to create a highly-skilled workforce that powers a strong and growing local economy.
Our role is to provide high-quality technical and professional education and training that is designed to meet industry needs and inspires students – and we can’t do that without you.
We’re here to provide you with an efficient and cost-effective service that helps you to fill your vacancies.
We can help you to reach our student community during the academic year – drawing their attention to your recruitment campaigns, vacancies, competitions or events.
Oldham College is ready and able to help – and we will always go the extra mile to understand your needs and find the right people and skills to fit your organisation.
We make every effort to understand the local, regional, and national economy to ensure we’re developing and educating young people for the careers of the future.
Employers like you are vitally important to everything we do and we hope this newsletter will be a really positive channel for us to keep in touch.
If you want to have a further conversation with us about your needs we would happy to come and meet you.
Contact Sarah Harris on 0161 785 4256 or firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange this.
Your success is our success.
Alun Francis, Principal and Chief Executive
