About the employer: We were established in Stockport in 1996 and has grown into a Global Distributor of specialist chemical products. The team have over 25 years’ experience, within the personal care market. We source and supply products to international manufactures who in turn produce products that appear in Aldi, Wilko, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Holland and Barrett, Boots and Superdrug.
Our growth since 1996 has been extraordinary and we have ambitious plans for the future. To support our aspirations for the future the company is looking to recruit an administration assistant to assist the operations and logistics department

Overview of the role (what will the learner be doing and what will the learner gain): You will assist the existing team in an administrative capacity, you will answer the telephone, process invoices, book logistics, deal with outgoing and incoming post.
Training to be provided (Qualifications to be gained):

NVQ Level 2 Business Admin Diploma
Functional Skills English Level 1
Functional Skills Math’s Level 1
Functional Skills ICT Level 1

Vacancy description:

• Reconcile purchase invoices to orders and delivery notes, and identify discrepancies
• Order Processing
• Order Acknowledgements
• Arranging sample dispatches
• Booking Transport
• Filing and issuing of invoices
• Receiving and answering emails in an organised manner
• Answering incoming phone calls
• General administration including post, filing and scanning
• Updating and maintaining in-house databases and systems
• Reviewing paperwork/forms and taking appropriate action
• Supporting the team to continuously deliver the agreed level of service
• Undertake any other duties as requested by your line manager within the scope of the role or for your own personal development

Desired qualifications Essential: 5 GCSE grades 9-4 (A to C) or equivalent
