AAT Accounting Level 2 (January Start)

Start Dates:

January intake - for those who have achieved the Level 2 Bookkeeping qualification, you may top this up to an AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting from January through to June.

Attendance:

This course will be delivered face to face.

In addition to this, you will be required to undertake significant independent study each week in order to ensure you are successful. The required independent study will be 1 hour per hour of face to face delivery.

What knowledge and skills will I gain?

If you're new to accountancy and finance, looking to change your career into accountancy or have previously worked in an accounts department this level is ideal for you.
At Level 2, you will gain a range of skills to help you build a career path within accountancy. Students can progress on to further education such as to the Level 3 Advanced Accountancy qualification or an apprenticeship. Completion of this Level 2 course can lead to employed positions such as a cashier, credit control clerk, finance assistant, purchase ledger clerk and sales ledger clerk.


Entry requirements

Level 2 AAT Bookkeeping.

Minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade D/3, with Maths GCSE or equivalent at grade C/4. Functional Skills Level 1 will be accepted as an alternative to GCSEs. Although preferred, no previous work experience within accountancy is required.


Will I have to pay for the course?

Learners will be required to pay for this qualification. However, depending on your personal circumstances you may qualify for full or partial funding via the Adult Education Budget. Our enrolment team will advise you on how these qualifications can be funded.
