Accounting Level 2

Start Dates:

We offer 2 intake dates as follows:

  1. September intake: Starting in September, you will undertake an AAT Level 2 in Bookkeeping completing this by January. You may then top this up to an AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting from January through to June.
  2. January intake: Starting in January, you will undertake an AAT Level 2 in Bookkeeping. 

Attendance:

This course will be delivered face to face on Monday evenings 6pm - 9pm.

In addition to this, you will be required to undertake significant independent study each week in order to ensure you are successful. The required independent study will be 1 hour per 1 of face to face delivery.

 

 

 

What will I study?

Accounting Level 2

What knowledge and skills will I gain?

If you're new to accountancy and finance, looking to change your career into accountancy or have previously worked in an accounts department this level is ideal for you.
At level 2, students will gain a range of skills to help them build a career path within accountancy. Students can progress on to further education such as to the Level 3 Advanced Accountancy qualification or an apprenticeship.  Completion of this level 2 course can lead to employed positions such as a cashier, credit control clerk, finance assistant, purchase ledger clerk and sales ledger clerk.

Entry requirements

Minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade D/3, with maths GCSE or equivalent at grade C/4. Functional Skills level 1 will be accepted as an alternative to GCSEs. No previous work experience within accountancy required. Although preferred, no previous work experience within accountancy is required.


Will I have to pay for the course?

Learners will be required to pay for this qualification. However, depending on your person circumstances some learners may qualify for this qualification to be either partially or fully funded via the Adult Education Budget. Our enrolment team will undertake an assessments with you onsite and advise you on how these qualifications will be funded.

How much will it cost?

Total cost = £724 for book keeping and £541 for remaining certificate units.
