Specialist Support Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 3 Diploma

Start Dates: You can start this course at any time during the year.  Typically it will take 18 months to achieve.

Attendance: Classes for this course are currently on a Friday morning or Thursday evening.  However, this is subject to change.    This diploma also has 1:1 assessment and mandatory observations of practice in the workplace.

Specialist Support Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 3 Diploma

What knowledge and skills will I gain?

Adults working in a teaching assistant role who are looking to progress to a higher level role or who do not yet have the level 3 diploma. This is also suitable for experienced volunteers who support English, Maths and ICT activities with children in the classroom.

Entry requirements

No specific entry requirements but must be employed for minimum 16 hours per week or have an employer willing to support, placement.  You Should have a level 2/Grade 4 in English, and have or be willing to work towards Level 2/Grade 4 in maths.

Will I have to pay for the course?

You may be eligible to do this course for free, if you do not already hold a level 2 or 3 qualification or if you receive certain state benefits. This course can also be funded through an Advanced Learner Loan or on a full cost basis.

How much will it cost?

This course may be fully funded depending on your eligibility.  The cost is £2225.00.  You are also eligible to apply to the Student Loans Company for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover tuition fees if you are not eligible for full funding.  You can also apply for our bursary to help towards costs including travel, books and meals.
