Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) Diploma

Start Dates: You can start this course at any time during the year. Typically it will take 18 months to achieve.

Attendance: Currently classes for this course are on a Wednesday or Thursday afternoon.  However, this is subject to change. This diploma also has 1:1 assessment and mandatory observations of practice in the workplace.  According to demand a twilight session may be available.

What knowledge and skills will I gain?

Adults working in an early years role who do not yet have the required level 3 diploma, are looking to deepen their knowledge and understanding to improve the quality of their work with children, and progress in their career.

Entry requirements

Typically you will have prior knowledge and experience of working in this sector.  Ideally you will have a minimum of Level 2/Grade 4 in English and or maths.  For this qualification you are likely to be employed or have an employer willing to support a work placement with level 3 work activities for minimum 16 hours per week for the duration of the course.

Will I have to pay for the course?

You may be eligible to do this course for free, if you do not already hold a level 2 or 3 qualification or if you receive certain state benefits. This course can also be funded through an Advanced Learner Loan or on a full cost basis.

How much will it cost?

This course can be fully funded depending on your eligibility.  The cost is £2882.00.  You may also be eligible to apply to the Student Loans Company for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover tuition fees. You can also apply for our bursary to help towards costs including travel, books and meals.
