You can enrol on this course at any time in the year. Typically it takes 15-18 months to achieve this diploma.

Attendance:

This is a part-time programme with 1:1 and/or group learning, assessment and mandatory observations of practice in the workplace. Days and times are to be confirmed.

 

What will I study?

Adult Care Diploma Level 3

What knowledge and skills will I gain?

This course is for adults working in an adult care role who are looking to progress to a senior role or who are in a senior role, but do not yet have the Level 3 diploma.


Entry requirements

You must have prior knowledge and experience of working in care.

You should be able to engage in senior care duties.

You should have a minimum of Level 2/GCSE grade 4 English.

You must be employed in a care setting for a minimum of 20 hours per week for the duration of the course.

You must be employed or have an employer willing to support your placement for a minimum of 20 hours per week for the duration of the course.


Will I have to pay for the course?

You may be eligible to do this course for free, if you do not already hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification or if you receive certain state benefits. You can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan or pay for the full cost of the course.

How much will it cost?

You may be eligible to study this course for free, if you do not already hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification or if you receive certain state benefits.

The course costs £2,882.00. Students are eligible to apply to the Student Loans Company for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover tuition fees. Eligible learners can also apply for the Oldham College Bursary to help towards costs including travel, books, meals and childcare.
