What will I study?

Access to Higher Education in Social Work and Social Sciences

What knowledge and skills will I gain?

The course is for those individuals who are looking for a career change or simply do not have the standard entry requirements to enrol onto their chosen degree course.

Entry requirements

To enrol on the course you must have already achieved 4 GCSEs, including English and maths at a minimum of grade 4/C. We can accept Functional Skills at level 2 in maths as an alternative, but unfortunately not English.

How much will it cost?

If you do not have a level 3 qualification, or if you are in receipt of certain benefits you may not have to pay for this course. If this does not apply then the course cost is £3,384. Students are eligible to apply to the Student Loans Company for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover tuition fees.  You may be eligible to do this course for free, if you do not already hold a level 3 qualification or if you receive certain state benefits.
