Access To Higher Education (Business)

Start Dates: September

Attendance: Typically 3 days a week of face to face delivery. Days to be confirmed. Additionally, there is a requirement for each learner to undertake significant independent study to ensure they succeed.  Typical independent study requirements are 1 hour per 1 hour of face to face delivery.

What knowledge and skills will I gain?

Access to Higher Education Diplomas are for learners aged 19+ who do not have the qualifications required to enter HE.

Entry requirements

Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grades A-C/4-9 (including maths and English)  Functional Skills level 2 will be accepted as an alternative to GCSEs. Although preferable, no previous work experience within the business sector is required.  This course is designed to enable mature learners to access higher education. You will be helped with UCAS applications, study and the research skills that are needed for you to be successful in your chosen university course.

Will I have to pay for the course?

You may be eligible to do this course for free if you do not already hold a level 3 qualification or if you receive certain state benefits. 

If the above does not apply then the course cost is £3,022. Students are eligible to apply to the Student Loans Company for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover tuition fees. Learners can also apply for our bursary to help towards costs including travel, books and meals.
