LevelEntry Requirements
Pre-Entry / Entry Level Courses
Entry Requirements: No formal entry qualifications. Applicants should have a keen interest in the vocational area which can be demonstrated through application and/ or interview.

Courses will provide a personalised programme within the Foundation Learning, focussing upon vocational skills, the development of learning skills and functional skills.
Level 1 courses
General Entry Requirements: GCSE grades E to G, or equivalent, including Foundation Awards. Applicants must demonstrate aptitude in the Vocational area. For construction and plumbing courses industry standard tests apply.

Courses will provide a personalised programme within the Foundation Learning at level 1, focussing upon different vocational areas, the development of learning skills and functional skills.
Level 2 Courses
General Entry Requirements: 3 to 4 GCSE’s at Grades D to E, or equivalent, e.g. Introductory Award or Diplomas.
Courses Available: BTEC First Diploma, NVQ Level 2, CACHE Level 2 Certificate and City & Guilds qualifications. Specific entry requirements may apply for your course, please check the prospectus or contact the college for further details.
Level 3 Courses
General Entry Requirements: 4 to 5 GCSE’s at A* to C, or equivalent e.g. First Diploma, Level 2 Vocational Awards.
Courses Available: BTEC National Diploma, National Award, Diploma, NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3 Certificate. Specific entry requirements may apply for your course, please check the prospectus or contact the college for further details.
Other qualifications count: Qualifications that you have achieved through attending NVQ level 1 or 2 courses can be taken into consideration and you may be able to gain entry to NVQ level 2 courses.
