The course is designed to give students a broad and effective insight in to all areas of science, from which they can progress onto higher levels of study or careers within the Science industry.

The Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Applied Science is a skill based programme with direct application to working in the Science industry. The qualification has been designed to offer an approach based on the student taking on the role of being employed within the science industry.

The assessment for this course takes place throughout the two years of study in the form of scientific practical assessment and report writing, as well as this you will be asked to write essays, produce presentations, and also take part in exam style assessments, particularly for the maths section of the course.
