The course takes two routes, Health Studies that is designed for students to progress in Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedics; and the Health and Social Care route, designed for students to progress in Social Work, Youth Work and Probation.

Provision for adults in health and care
Research in health and care
Life span developments – health and care needs
Understanding physical disabilities and exploring mental health wellbeing
Structure, organisation and function of the human body.
You would then choose either the health route or the care route and would cover 2 of the following units.
Principles and models of healthcare
Science in health and care
Psychology of Human Behaviours
Sociology of health, care and wellbeing.
