This is a 1 year course which will build on prior knowledge as well as introducing many new concepts and skills that the students can take forward as they learn more about this exciting and growing area of employment. 

Students will explore:

  • Web design
  • Web animation
  • Digital graphics
  • How computer systems operate
  • Installing computer software.

We use a variety of modern software packages including MS Office 2013, Adobe Creative Suite and many others.

Students will be assessed through formal written evidence, examination, producing wikis and blogs and also delivering presentations. We also assess students practical abilities using recorded evidence, both video and audio.

We aim to give students the opportunities to engage with employers within the digital industries sector. This can range from lectures and master classes through to a short placement of internship with one of the members of our employer advisory board.
  • Level 3 Extended Diploma in software or Hardware
  • Full time employment.

  • PC repair and build.

Students can expect to earn £15K - £20K as Junior Web Designers, through to £45K - £70K as Web Developers or Solutions Architects.

Level 2 – 4 x GCSE grade D or level 3 (including English and Maths)

Level 3 for those students with the necessary entry qualifications.

  • Study a core qualification in a vocational discipline and continue to develop your English and Maths skills through functional skills, GCSE resits and the option of Level 3 qualifications

  • Enjoy a range of enrichment opportunities e.g. basketball, archery, skiing and sign language
  • Take part in dedicated tutorial sessions to review your progress and development
