The New Technical Level 3 diploma in Barbering will allow you to further develop your career to a senior level, where you will offer your clients a full range of Barbering services that promotes male grooming.

The units of study are:

  • 309: Barbering consultation services
  • 310: Cut hair using a variety of barbering techniques
  • 311: Design and create facial hair shapes
  • 312: Shaving services
  • 404: Design and create patterns in hair.

While studying this qualification, you should be working in an established and professional Barbershop. You should be looking to do paid or voluntary barbering work. However, when becoming an advanced barbering practitioner it is expected that you should be working regular hours in a barbershop to benefit your client experience.

On completion of your Level 3 Barbering qualification, you could progress and explore higher education and other hairdressing qualifications. 

Average salaries are about £18 - 23K per year.

No Formal Entry Requirements
You will already have acquired a VRQ or NVQ level 2 Barbering qualification. Your prior academic GCSE qualifications will determine your entry route and place you on the correct Level 3 Barbering qualification.
