The Preparing for Work programme will be very practical and will be based in our specialist teaching rooms, in real life settings and out in the local community. The aim of this study programme is to give learners the opportunity to develop an understanding of the world of work and working with others, through a range of contexts and subject areas.
Your curriculum will be tailor-made to meet your individual needs and interests and you will have the opportunity to access a fully supported work experience within the College or a placement with one of our established providers in the community. This will be tailored for your specific requirements and suited to your future aspirations. Preparing for Work gives learners every opportunity to achieve their full potential.
You will be working in small and appropriate groups with highly qualified and experienced Tutors and Support Officers dedicated to ensuring that your learning experience is fun, challenging, motivational and meaningful. You will receive support from your Personal Tutor, who will closely monitor your progress to ensure that your learning journey stays on track. We have strong links with families and professionals who will be involved in all aspects of your development. Our highly motivated work experience team will work with you to ensure that your placement is suitably challenging and prepares you for the world of work.
