Current figures show that the average salary for Construction in the North West is around £26,000 per annum.

The course is free to 16 – 18 year olds.

Level 1 – 3 x GCSES at grades E or level 2/3 (including English and Maths)

Each theory unit has its own multiple choice test and practical assessments are set by the awarding body.

On completion students can progress into employment and progress on to the part time apprenticeship course. 

Students need to have completed the Level 2 Diploma in Brickwork or an equivalent course and have gained 2 GCSE’s as per L=level 1 entry requirements

This course has been designed to help students gain an advanced level of knowledge and associated practical skills demanded of a bricklayer within the construction industry.

We will look to offer work experience wherever possible. In the past level 3 students have created and reconfigured other areas of the College. Potential apprenticeships may also arise.

  • Study a core qualification in a vocational discipline and continue to develop your English and Maths skills through functional skills, GCSE resits and the option of Level 3 qualifications
  • Participate in meaningful work experience
  • Enjoy a range of enrichment opportunities e.g. basketball, archery, skiing and sign language
  • Take part in dedicated tutorial sessions to review your progress and development
