This is a course for those who are interested in studying accounting further or looking to work in an office or go onto an apprenticeship in Business Admin at Level 2. You will have the opportunity to work in an office to gain evidence for your NVQ qualification. You will also have opportunity to develop your maths and English skills through taking GCSEs or Functional Skills.

You will study topics and have practical experience of:

•           Accounting and book-keeping
•           Payroll processing
•           Computerised accounts
•           Spreadsheets
•           Using office equipment
•           Telephone skills
•           Business documents
•           Professional etiquette at work
You will be assessed by exams and practical assessments such as observation, professional discussions and personal statements.
 You will have the opportunity of take part in a work placement to gain evidence for your NVQ. 

Progression can lead to:

AAT Level 2
Business Administration Level 2 Apprenticeship
Law courses at Level 2/3 BTEC
Business courses at Level 2/3 BTEC
Accountancy, Financial Services such as banking, Business Administration Apprenticeship at Level 2 or employment in administration.
Level 2 – 4 x GCSE grade D or level 3 (including English and Maths)
