Art & Design

Our Art & Design Courses allow you to develop a wide range of Drawing, 2D and 3D skills preparing you for a career in a creative industry. Art & Design is very versatile and our students can progress to Games, Fashion or Photography, as well as Art & Design.
  • You will complete units from the University of Arts London
  • Develop skills in visual language, research, drawing and materials
  • Use Adobe Creative programs such as Photoshop and 3Dimensional design
  • Complete a final major project working independently.
  • Tutor reviews
  • Regular checks on assessment grades.

Your course will be approved and examined by the University of Arts London (UAL) awarding body

We have links with businesses in the region who welcome student collaborations, and work placements.

Level 2 Digital and Creative courses.

Level 1 – 3 x GCSES at grades E or level 2/3 (including English and Maths)

Explanation of entry requirements

Applicants must have the required GCSE grades in English, maths and an art based subject.

All full time courses for home students aged 16 – 18 years are free. For 19+ full time course fees please contact us on 0161 785 4000.

Study Programme

All students at Oldham College will participate in a personalised study programme that will maximise your potential and enable you to progress onto employment, apprenticeships or higher education.

This means you will:

  • Study a core qualification in a vocational discipline and continue to develop your English and Maths skills through functional skills, GCSE resits and the option of Level 3 qualifications
  • Participate in meaningful work experience
  • Enjoy a range of enrichment opportunities e.g. basketball, archery, skiing and sign language
  • Take part in dedicated tutorial sessions to review your progress and development
